How we handle your data

Last updated: 16 September 2026

This page is the plain-language version. It complements the privacy policy; if they appear to disagree on a point, this page is the more specific one and should be treated as authoritative.

Where data goes

Tools on Toolhub run in your browser. Anything you paste, type, or upload into a tool stays on your device — we do not have a server-side tool runner, and there is no upload endpoint behind any of the tools.

There is exactly one named exception to "no data leaves your device":

  1. AdSense — Google's display-ad system, present on the content pages (tools, articles, homepage). Ad requests are paused by default; in the EEA/UK, a consent banner handles consent before any advertising cookies are set. Non-personalised ads may be served outside the EEA/UK. Legal and policy pages carry no ads.

Toolhub runs no analytics — no Plausible, no Google Analytics, no page-view counter.

What we store

Nothing about you. No accounts, no user IDs, no email, no profile. We do not store the content you put into tools.

Your browser stores two small localStorage entries on your device only — both readable and clearable from your browser's developer tools:

GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and the Slovak DPA

Toolhub processes minimal data:

Rights to access or delete personal data effectively do not apply because no personal data is stored to access or delete. If you have specific questions, contact us via the contact page.

Cookies

Analytics

Toolhub runs no analytics and no visitor-tracking beacons — no Cloudflare Web Analytics, no Google Analytics, no Plausible, nothing that counts or profiles visitors. Cloudflare, as the site's host and CDN, still necessarily receives standard request metadata (IP, timestamp, URL) to serve and protect the site — this is inherent to any hosted website and is covered by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Children

Toolhub is a general-audience utility site intended for adults and professional users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13 — there is no account system, no profile, and no server-side collection of tool input. Because the site is not child-directed, we do not enable any feature designed to target or profile a minor. Adults, including educators, are welcome to use the tools.
